About The Position

We are seeking a strategic leader who thrives at the intersection of brand strategy, engagement planning, and client partnership. As a Vice President, Strategy, you'll work alongside senior client stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams to shape brand direction, develop integrated strategic plans, and translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable recommendations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, leading strategic conversations, and bringing omnichannel thinking to life. You'll play a key role in client growth, new business, and helping teams develop strategies that move seamlessly from insight to execution.

Requirements

12+ years of strategic planning experience within a pharmaceutical or healthcare communications agency environment, with a proven track record advising commercial brand teams.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted partnerships with senior client stakeholders, including Brand Directors, Franchise Leads, Marketing Leaders, and other executive decision-makers.
Deep expertise developing brand strategy, customer insights, positioning, messaging frameworks, and integrated omnichannel plans that drive measurable business outcomes.
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect market dynamics, customer insights, and business objectives into clear, actionable strategic recommendations.
Experience leading strategic planning across a brand lifecycle, with product launch experience strongly preferred.
Proven success leading the strategic development of new business opportunities, including pitch strategy, workshops, and client presentations.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences and inspire confidence at all levels of an organization.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and partnering effectively with Account, Creative, Media, and Project Management disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
A collaborative, solutions-oriented leadership style with the ability to navigate ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive alignment across complex organizations.

Responsibilities

Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to senior pharmaceutical clients, building lasting partnerships and influencing brand direction through executive-level counsel.
Lead the development of integrated brand and engagement strategies that connect customer insight, business objectives, and omnichannel execution into cohesive, actionable plans.
Shape strategic thinking across client engagements, helping teams navigate complex business challenges and transform ambiguity into clear, compelling strategic direction.
Partner closely with cross-functional leaders across Account, Creative, Medical, Media, and Project Management to ensure strategic excellence is reflected throughout the work and consistently delivered to clients.
Drive strategic rigor across key deliverables, ensuring recommendations are grounded in research, competitive intelligence, customer insights, and commercial opportunity.
Champion strategic innovation by identifying new opportunities for client growth, challenging conventional thinking, and elevating the quality of strategic output across the business.
Play a leading role in business development efforts by shaping strategic narratives, contributing to new business pitches, and helping secure new client partnerships.
Facilitate high-impact workshops, planning sessions, and executive discussions that align stakeholders and move brands forward with confidence.
Mentor and develop members of the Strategy team while fostering collaboration and strategic thinking across multidisciplinary teams.
Represent the agency as a senior strategic leader, demonstrating commercial acumen, executive presence, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client outcomes.
