The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA), Division of Business and Finance (DBF), is seeking a skilled and collaborative Sr. Business Analyst to join the Central Payroll team. In this pivotal role, you will act as the primary liaison between Central Payroll, the state's enterprise resource planning system (AZ360 HRM), and various State agencies, providing critical technical support and functional analysis for both human resource management and financial payroll operations. As a champion for the organization's key business processes, you will handle the full lifecycle of technical payroll projects by gathering requirements, translating them into robust functional and use-case documentation, and partnering closely with developers through design and construction. Additionally, you will drive quality assurance by designing and executing comprehensive system test plans, scripts, and cases, all while upholding rigorous business systems standards through proven project management methodologies. Beyond technical execution, you will serve as a leader and mentor, coaching intermediate business analysts within the team and creating impactful quick reference guides and training materials to empower end-users across the state. The State of Arizona strives for a work culture that affords employees flexibility, autonomy, and trust. Across our many agencies, boards, and commissions, many State employees participate in the State’s Remote Work Program and are able to work remotely in their homes, in offices, and in hoteling spaces. All work, including remote work, should be performed within Arizona unless an exception is properly authorized in advance.
