About The Position

The Sr. Business Analyst will help onboard and support clients on the Retail Performance Platform (RPP), Maritz’s next-generation, cloud-native platform designed to power incentive, recognition, and engagement programs at enterprise scale. This role partners with Client Success, Implementation, and Technology teams to translate client goals into clear requirements and configuration decisions, ensuring each onboarding is delivered efficiently while leveraging RPP’s shared, configurable capabilities. RPP brings together program administration, participant engagement, communications, and performance analytics into seamless digital experiences. The Sr. Business Analyst ensures each client onboarding is defined with the right balance of speed, flexibility, and governance by capturing end-to-end workflows, decision points, data needs, integration touchpoints, and program rules so teams can deliver a successful launch and measurable performance outcomes. In this role, you will lead discovery and documentation for client onboardings that may include integrations, configurations, and customizations. You’ll facilitate requirements workshops, document program and data specifications, analyze impacts across existing RPP capabilities, and partner with architects and developers to confirm solution approach. You will also collaborate with Quality Assurance and client stakeholders to ensure requirements trace to test coverage and UAT readiness, and that changes are managed throughout the onboarding lifecycle. This role offers the opportunity to work on a modern, multi-tenant platform that is actively replacing legacy systems while enabling new client growth. You’ll contribute by driving clear onboarding requirements, reducing rework through strong documentation, and helping teams deliver reliable integrations and configurations that scale across programs and clients. During slower onboarding periods, you may also support analysis and requirements work for legacy platforms to help maintain continuity for existing clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 8–10 years of business analysis experience, including 5+ years performing requirements management for technology implementations (Agile and/or SDLC).
  • Strong client-facing experience leading discovery and requirements workshops for onboardings/implementations, including managing scope and documenting decisions.
  • Experience defining requirements for integrations (APIs, SFTP/file feeds, webhooks, data exchanges), including data mapping, field definitions, and error/exception handling.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality artifacts such as BRDs, configuration specifications, process flows, and Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM); ability to translate ambiguity into clear, actionable requirements.
  • Experience partnering with QA and business stakeholders to support test strategy and UAT (test scenarios, data setup, entry/exit criteria) through go-live readiness.
  • Business process improvement experience required; ability to identify standardization and automation opportunities across implementations.
  • Working knowledge of tools for process modeling and requirements documentation (e.g., process flow, wireframing/prototyping, backlog management tools).

Nice To Haves

  • Practical experience using AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency in analysis and documentation (e.g., summarizing notes, drafting requirements, organizing feedback), with sound judgment on when to apply AI, how to validate outputs, and how to protect sensitive data in accordance with company policies.
  • PMP and/or CBAP certification; experience supporting multi-tenant, configurable platforms and/or incentive/recognition/engagement program domains.

Responsibilities

  • Own the creation and maintenance of comprehensive onboarding documentation, including Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), configuration specifications and workbooks, data mapping documentation, current- and future-state process flows, and requirements traceability artifacts. Manage requirements change control throughout the onboarding lifecycle. Partner closely with Client Success, Technical Project Managers, developers, integration engineers, and subject matter experts to validate solution approaches and evaluate tradeoffs related to scope, timeline, usability, and performance within a multi-tenant RPP environment
  • Lead structured discovery efforts to elicit, analyze, and translate client objectives into clear, testable requirements and user stories for integrations, configurations, and customizations. Synthesize input from diverse client stakeholders and internal teams, break down high-level needs into detailed business rules and scenarios, and differentiate between stated requirements and underlying business needs. Define acceptance criteria and appropriate non-functional requirements (e.g., security, performance, availability) aligned with RPP platform capabilities, data flows, and integration patterns.
  • Apply established SDLC standards, methods, and best practices to produce high-quality onboarding documentation that is both technically precise and business-focused. Analyze onboarding and downstream operational workflows to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, standardize delivery, and automate where possible—particularly through reusable RPP configurations and integration patterns. Facilitate process workshops, document outcomes using process maps and requirements artifacts, and present future-state designs to stakeholders for review, alignment, and approval.
  • Act as a client-facing liaison connecting client stakeholders, business teams, technology partners, and support organizations throughout onboarding discovery and delivery. Facilitate working sessions, capture decisions, and proactively identify risks, dependencies, and scope impacts. Partner with Quality Assurance to develop and maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), support test case creation, and coordinate UAT readiness—including scenario development, data requirements, and entry/exit criteria—through go-live validation.
  • Mentor and support other Business Analysts on complex client onboardings, providing guidance on requirements strategy, documentation quality, and stakeholder engagement. Contribute to onboarding, training, and coaching efforts, and champion consistent requirements management standards across the BA community. Promote the use of reusable templates, shared best practices, and continuous improvement to enhance delivery predictability, reduce rework, and improve outcomes across RPP implementations.
