About The Position

Amex GBT is seeking a Sr. Business Analyst in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves examining user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing systems and automation. The analyst will review technical reports and develop programs to meet organizational needs, appraise new product ideas, and strategize go-to-market plans. Key responsibilities include defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps, managing the product backlog, and driving product and business planning for cross-functional teams. The role requires analyzing product requirements, generating reports on business, financial, or economic data, performing data analysis for financial management systems, and improving systems by designing modifications. The analyst will also analyze business and data processing problems, review business processes to identify risks, and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements. Responsibilities include conducting tests for financial and time tracking tools, managing business intelligence information flow, maintaining BI tools and databases, synthesizing trend data for recommendations, and maintaining a library of model documents. The role involves proposing innovative solutions, communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, participating in workshops for business requirements, and collaborating with other business units to understand their needs and implement enhancements. Support for various test levels, ensuring environment readiness for deployment, and confirming pre-requisites before production deployment are also key. The analyst will prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and prepare data flow diagrams and process definitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance or related field
  • 4 years experience as a Netsuite Suite Project Pro (PSA) Administrator including API configuration, permissions, customization, and service requests
  • 4 years experience using SQL, Tableau, and Advanced Excel for Financial and Data Analysis
  • 4 years experience with Purchase Order and Invoice Management with global suppliers
  • 3 years experience in Compliance Management including controls, artifacts, and audits
  • 2 years experience in product management, including requirement definition, design, and testing

  • Improving systems by studying current practices, designing modifications
  • Analyzing business and engineering and data processing problems to improve application systems and implement solutions
  • Being responsible for reviewing assigned business process from end-to-end to identify and address operational, financial, and technological risks
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency
  • Conducting or coordinating tests to ensure that financial and time tracking tools are consistent with defined needs
  • Managing timely flow of business intelligence information to users
  • Maintaining or updating business intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems or methods
  • Synthesizing current business intelligence or trend data to support recommendations for action
  • Maintaining library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets
  • Proposing innovative and practical solutions to address business challenges
  • Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Participating in project definition workshops with other teams to develop detailed business requirements and documentation
  • Working closely with other business units to understand their need business strategy, processes, services, roadmap, and the context in which the business operates and implements the enhancement in the existing tools
  • Providing support for various test levels and being responsible to ensure environment readiness for deployment
  • Ensuring the configuration and other required pre-requisites are completed and approved by the portfolio manager before confirming the deployment to production
  • Preparing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Preparing data flow diagrams and process definitions
