The Sr. BIM Electrical Engineer will direct the electrical engineering lifecycle for diverse sectors including industrial, commercial, institutional, and mission-critical facilities. This role involves constructing and maintaining comprehensive Revit models for power systems, lighting, grounding, telecommunications, and fire safety layouts. The engineer will conduct essential electrical assessments such as arc flash analysis, voltage drop, fault current, and load calculations. They will also evaluate and apply project specifications, client requirements, and regulatory codes like NFPA and NEC, ensuring all designs are accurate, feasible for construction, and seamlessly integrated with other trades. Additionally, the position requires managing all engineering outputs from the initial conceptual phase through final project closeout, utilizing BIM/Revit for interdisciplinary collaboration with architectural, structural, and mechanical partners. The role includes facilitating technical reviews, model walkthroughs, and BIM clash detection meetings, as well as assisting project leadership with budget tracking, scheduling, RFI responses, and submittal processing. The engineer will also offer expert troubleshooting and engineering guidance throughout the construction phase, review shop drawings, as-builts, and field modifications, and serve as a field liaison to resolve installation hurdles and manage design adjustments. Site inspections will be performed to confirm field conditions align with engineered plans and specifications. The role also involves ensuring regulatory adherence, executing peer reviews, and verifying that all Revit outputs conform to corporate and client-specific requirements. Finally, the Sr. BIM Electrical Engineer will mentor junior engineers and BIM technicians, oversee training on Revit workflows and electrical design methodologies, and drive the optimization of engineering standards and BIM efficiency.
