About The Position

The Sr. BIM (Building Information Modeling) Coordinator manages and coordinates BIM processes throughout the design and construction phases of electrical projects. The role ensures that the BIM execution plan is followed, models are accurate, and project requirements are met. The coordinator works with internal teams and other project stakeholders to deliver high-quality, accurate models on time. The position leads BIM processes from pre-construction through project delivery, maintains and updates models as designs and construction change, and helps ensure BIM documentation and models comply with project and company standards and industry best practices. It also supports project delivery by coordinating electrical systems with the overall project model and organizing BIM files and related documentation.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in BIM coordination, preferably in the electrical or construction industry.
Extensive knowledge of BIM software, including Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant tools.
Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and issue resolution.
Strong understanding of construction processes, electrical systems, and coordination within a BIM environment.
Proficiency with BIM software and tools such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and BIM 360.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Attention to detail and accuracy in BIM model coordination.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the BIM process from pre-construction through project delivery.
Coordinate BIM models to ensure alignment with project specifications, scope, and timeline.
Work with project managers, engineers, and designers to integrate electrical systems into the overall project model.
Maintain and update BIM models to reflect design and construction changes.
Resolve BIM model conflicts and discrepancies in collaboration with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
Review BIM documentation, including model files, drawings, and specifications, for accuracy and completeness.
Conduct clash detection and work with the team to address and resolve issues.
Provide technical support and BIM training to team members and project stakeholders.
Ensure BIM models comply with project and company standards and industry best practices.
Collaborate with the project team to manage the BIM process, meet deadlines, and support timely, efficient project delivery.
Organize and archive BIM files and related project documentation.
