About The Position

PACCAR is a Fortune 500 company established in 1905, recognized as a global leader in the commercial vehicle, financial, and customer service fields. Our collaborative Corporate Benefits Team works together with HR professionals across the U.S. to ensure our programs are expertly administered and that our plan participants get maximum value. We are looking for a Benefits Specialist to assist with the administration of our retirement programs and provide support on our other benefits programs. The Benefits Specialist will also serve as a lead in vendor-partner relationships and special projects.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • 2+ years of benefits administration, human resources or accounting experience
  • Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to multi-task, as well as work in an organized and efficient manner
  • Intermediate-level skill with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Ability to maintain current understanding of legal and regulatory compliance requirements relative to benefit plan compliance

  • CEBS, CBP, PHR preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert and administrator for PACCAR's U.S. 401(k) plan; ensure plan is operated according to plan rules
  • Prepare retirement plan pension estimates, calculations and election packets for employees transitioning to retirement
  • Administer life insurance program
  • Complete data analytics to calculate cost impact of demographic and/or program changes, support benefit plan performance evaluation and impact of new legislation change
  • Facilitate vendor management activities
  • Lead and staff special projects ranging from vendor selection to legislation implementation
  • Assist HR professionals and respond to employee questions, resolve escalated benefit issues and accurately administer plans
  • Coordinate summary plan description updates, and other plan communications as required
