The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Team: RTX has an opening for a Sr. Batch Operations Technician (Principal Specialist, Business Systems and Transformation) position in Enterprise Data Services working closely with peer batch technicians, developers, Product/Project Managers and Customers, you will play an active role in creating and administering automated workflows critical to driving business success. Join a team of batch technicians who manage the daily transfer of millions of rows of data moving between SAP systems, cloud and other platforms. The platform is part of a larger, evolving data ecosystem and interfaces with many systems. The team you will join constantly monitors batch success and performance. We are looking for team players, who are willing to bring people across disciplines together. Challenges include changing priorities, continuous learning, and a willingness to dive into and solve complex problems. How you communicate and approach problems is important to us.

Requirements

Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in SAP or batch operations and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.
Experience with SAP Business Warehouse batch development and support.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Experience with general SAP development (ABAP and/or HANA).
Experience with Redwood scheduling tools.
Experience with UNIX.
Large scale implementation experience with complex solutions environment.
Candidates with DoD experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize SAP BW batch jobs and dataflows.
Troubleshoot and resolve batch job and workflow issues.
Monitor batch operations: evaluate current state, recommend and implement improvements.
Define best practices for automated workflows and batch operations.
Participate in overall batch operations architecture and strategy.
