About The Position

A leading national mechanical and controls contractor is hiring a skilled Sr. BAS Installer to support Building Automation System (BAS) installations throughout the Bellingham, WA region. This field-based role focuses on installing low-voltage controls, HVAC automation equipment, and energy-management systems across commercial, education, healthcare, and data center projects. Candidates with a Washington State 06 Low Voltage License and hands-on controls installation experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Experience installing BAS, HVAC controls, low-voltage systems, or electrical equipment
Current WA State 06 Low Voltage Electrical License (Required)
Strong understanding of electrical safety, NEC compliance, and proper installation practices
Reliable communicator with excellent organizational and field coordination skills

Nice To Haves

Willingness to travel occasionally to Northern Oregon or Northern California (15–20%)

Responsibilities

Install, route, and terminate low-voltage wiring and BAS field devices according to plans, specifications, and WA electrical code
Run conduit, bend pipe, and pull wire for HVAC controls and automation equipment
Perform functional testing of sensors, actuators, controllers, and networked BAS components
Assist with field sketches, as-built documentation, and revision updates
Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and installation schedules
Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and general contractors on field activities
Provide leadership and guidance to junior installers on larger projects
