About The Position

At Manheim (a Cox Automotive company), our Senior Automotive Maintenance Technicians mix maintenance with a touch of magic. If you love cars, you’ll be a perfect fit for the team. Work schedule: Mon-Thursday, 5am-3:30pm.

Requirements

  • Minimum: 5+ years automotive service and repair experience.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
  • Diesel and transmission experience.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Requires physical ability and mental acuity to execute the duties of the position successfully within required timeframes to meet business requirements.
  • ASE A1-A8
  • Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Medium/heavy work, booms/hydraulics, electrical and complex repairs experience.
  • One year of customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspection of vehicle for mechanical deficiencies.
  • Based upon certification levels, various repairs and maintenance which may include: OBD II systems, brake components, tires, tune-ups, suspension components, aerial lifts, Electrical systems, State Safety Inspections, interior/exterior components, engine and drive line components, etc.
  • May maintain/repair equipment. (cable trailers, laptop docking stations, etc.)
  • Keep shop area clean and tidy.
  • Perform work in accordance to safety standards.
  • Dispose of all fluids in a safe manner and in accordance with all regulations.
  • Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records.
  • May up fit new vehicles with necessary equipment.
  • Assures availability of specialized auto & trucks by troubleshooting and repairing complexes, generators and electrical systems, hybrids, and on-board computer systems.
  • Provides custom equipment when needed by engaging in equipment design and moderate fabrication tasks including welding.
  • Assures prompt repairs by interfacing and coordinating with vendors for parts and repairs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
