Requirements

  • Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Vision, Computer Science, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered, working in a research setting, preparing data for research studies and real-world evidence projects, or a related occupation.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Work expertise in retina, including ophthalmology-specific electronic medical records, database integration, coding, and clinical data management, along with the specific expertise in ophthalmology imaging, data modeling and statistical and computer vision models for retinal images.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Technical, data science and coding skills in Python, and cloud.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Working with medical images, specifically in anterior and posterior ophthalmology
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Expertise in linking electronic medical record with practice management and image data to create unified, longitudinal patient recordsets.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Computer vision, specifically related to ophthalmology image and layer segmentation, object detection, and lesion depth/breadth detection.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Retinal image and layer segmentation, volumetric rendering, and volumetric measurement.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Extracting data programmatically from proprietary formats of imaging suppliers specific to retina and general ophthalmology, such as Carl Zeiss, Heidelberg Engineering, Topcon, Nikon/Optos and others.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Writing performant SQL queries and troubleshooting query problems, including visualization.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Optimizing queries for clinical and administrative dataset preparation (PHI).
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Working building data science pipelines for parsing ophthalmology images, linking data records, processing PHI, and modeling data in an AWS cloud environments.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Developing RPA applications in an AWS cloud environment.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Working with VS Code IDE, Jupyter Lab, and Veracode security tools in an AWS cloud environment.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Data modeling and statistics.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Descriptive statistics working with ophthalmology image datasets.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Advanced statistical analysis of ophthalmology data, specifically retina clinical, administrative and image datasets.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Building retina drug-switch matrices, drug tenure analyses, and patient care plateau analyses.
  • One (1) year of demonstrated experience in Python Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, and a full range of models (RF, NN, DL, LLM, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience in OCT, wide-field, fluorescein angiography, and other imaging modalities used in capturing data and measurements of the posterior eye.
  • Demonstrated experience in Specific depth in Postgres SQL (v. 16+, including extensions).

Responsibilities

  • Works with retinal clinical and administrative data to build data sets and data models.
  • Wrangles ophthalmology data, tests validity of datasets for data modeling efforts using statistical / data science methods.
  • Extracts and integrates clinical and administrative datasets from a variety of sources and formats, including APIs, files, proprietary binary images, and standard medical images.
  • Solves data and image problems to which standard procedures may not apply.
  • Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
  • Using expertise in clinical research methods, collaborates with variety of personnel to prepare retinal datasets for research and real-work evidence studies.
  • Responsible for clinical integrations, image data extraction, data set preparation, and data modeling for the RetinaOS products.
