About the Opportunity Reporting to the Development Manager of the Platform Services Security team, the Developer is responsible for designing and implementing new products and features, as well as enhancing existing solutions. The Developer will collaborate with an energetic team of Developers, Test Engineers, Technical Product Managers, and Technical Writers throughout the development process to ensure the product is functionally complete and well-engineered. The Platform Services Security team is a Scrum team comprised of high-caliber, hands-on software professionals who aim to provide technical leadership and stewardship of the Dayforce product. The team enables Dayforce HCM’s technical success by building performant, scalable, and secure core components, frameworks, and customer-facing technical features, and by providing build processes, tools, and expertise to enhance developer productivity. The team also enhances the maintainability and supportability of Dayforce HCM by building environment management and operational management applications and tools. Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).

Requirements

Proven track record of designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable enterprise-level software solutions.
Deep understanding and practical application of object-oriented design principles and common design patterns to create maintainable and efficient code.
Expert-level proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, with significant experience designing and interacting with both relational (TSQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
Strong understanding of common web application security vulnerabilities, including the OWASP Top 10, and proven ability to implement effective security measures to mitigate risks.
Strong general proficiency in AI developer tooling, including Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, and related tools.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding, debugging, documentation, and workflow automation.
Ability to evaluate and adopt emerging AI engineering tools and integrate them effectively into day-to-day development practices.
Exceptional skills in performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding and practical application of defensive programming techniques to build secure and resilient software.
Proficiency in designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs for seamless integration between services.
Advanced skills in setting up CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments using Azure DevOps CI/CD automation and GitHub Actions.
Experience with Docker containers; Kubernetes experience is a plus.
Understanding of microservice orchestration, including the ability to build a new service from scratch and deploy it in cloud infrastructure using automation.
Confidence working with Azure and managing infrastructure.
Proven experience implementing and utilizing monitoring and logging tools, such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Grafana, to proactively ensure application health and performance and facilitate effective troubleshooting.
Proficiency in test automation, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
Experience working in an Agile Scrum team as a key contributor and team player.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).

Nice To Haves

Proven experience building authentication solutions, including Single Sign-On and Multi-factor Authentication, following OAuth 2.0 and OIDC standards.
Knowledge of SAML is a plus.
Good understanding of the various OAuth grant types and OIDC flows and their practical application in secure identity management.
