About The Position

In this role, you will independently execute routine experiments with minimal variability and support more complex studies under guidance. You will analyze data, document findings in electronic laboratory notebooks, and prepare clear summaries and reports. You will collaborate cross-functionally and communicate results to team and departmental audiences. You may also contribute to the development and continuous improvement of potency assay workflows, including the implementation of automated solutions to enhance robustness, throughput, and data quality.

Requirements

  • BA/BS with at least 3+ years of experience or MBA/MS with any years of experience
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in immunological and cell-based assays, including ELISAs, cytotoxicity assays, tissue culture, and molecular biology techniques
  • Experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic technique
  • Experience with high-throughput liquid handling and automation platforms
  • Strong scientific curiosity and understanding of potency assays
  • Ability to critically evaluate, adapt, and apply scientific techniques
  • Understanding of project scope and how individual work contributes to broader departmental and organizational goals
  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized, independent, and solution-oriented with a creative approach to problem-solving

  • Pharmaceutical and biotech drug discovery experience
  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting bioassays designed to assess functionality
  • Experience with live-cell imaging systems
  • Experience with Hamilton liquid handlers
  • Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute routine experiments with minimal variability in design and execution
  • Plan and perform more complex experiments with appropriate guidance
  • Apply scientific principles to support assay development, process and product understanding, and related activities
  • Analyze and interpret data; troubleshoot experimental issues and identify unexpected results with guidance
  • Develop and refine experimental protocols
  • Accurately document experimental work in electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Summarize and clearly communicate results to team and departmental audiences
  • Author technical reports, protocols, and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Leverage scientific literature to inform experimental design and data interpretation
  • Support lab operations, including equipment maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the development, optimization, and implementation of automated potency assay workflows to improve robustness, throughput, and data quality
