We are looking for a Sr. Associate, Product Manager to join the Retail Bank Fraud Decisioning Platform team. Retail Bank handles billions of decisions a year to protect customers' money. You will drive the roadmap to develop platform capabilities that improve Capital One’s ability to make decisions at scale and rapidly craft rules as business needs arise. The space has high visibility and sits at the intersection of customer experience, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a customer-first mindset, collaborate broadly with multiple stakeholders and partners, and build and own a data-driven roadmap that balances automation, ease of use, and resiliency at scale. The ideal candidate has a solid technical background, can drive a complex technical roadmap, leverages AI tools effectively, can articulate complex user journeys and uncover innovation ideas to simplify them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience working in Product Management

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field)
  • A Master's Degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or a related quantitative field) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration
  • Experience translating business strategy and analysis into internal technical product requirements.
  • Experience building requirements for Agentic AI systems.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with an agile engineering team to design and deliver product features for our internal customers.
  • Build a roadmap, own the backlog and prioritize high-leverage features grounded in our objectives
  • Measured product success against our key outcomes and goals
  • Build and maintain partnerships with leaders and stakeholders across the Bank
  • Define, socialize and monitor key performance indicators to understand the impact and success of your features
  • Apply strategic thinking to delivering product features that are well managed, including collaborating effectively with risk, compliance, legal, and privacy partners
