About The Position
BigBear.ai is seeking a Sr. Application Developer to support the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA). The role involves providing development for legacy and existing systems, including building new features, enhancements, bug fixes, and adding features for integration with successor systems. This position is based in Washington, D.C. and requires hybrid SCIF support.
Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
- Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience with application or software development with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years OR Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience with application or software development as a substitute to a Master’s degree.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, Angular, Node, NestJS, Express Servers, Jest, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch, GitLab CI Pipelines, Docker, OpenShift.
- Experience with classification rollup and NTK handling programmatically.
- Experience with cross-domain transfer processes (high to low).
- Experience reviewing server logs and consoles to triage and debug onsite.
- Experience with Node.js with Typescript, SQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, ElasticSearch.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the Foundational Services SME and provide training/support to two mid-level developers.
- Independently manage multiple complex work assignments with minimal oversight and review.
- Operate with appreciable latitude in developing methodology and presenting solutions to problems.
- Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics.
- Apply comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
- Plan and lead major technology assignments.
- Evaluate performance results and recommend major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.
- Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.
- May supervise others.
