About The Position

Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Sr. Application Developer, SAP to work at our Vernon Hills, IL location. This role will participate on programming project teams for SAP ECC, BW, and CPI systems, supporting the technical end of ECC and BW application development and system implementation. The position involves deploying and supporting SAP CPI-based integrations, and the technical implementation of SAP upgrades and support pack updates. The developer will investigate and resolve system and software problems, design or write programming technical specifications based on project requirements, and build integration flows in hybrid environments including on-premises and cloud-based applications across all integration styles and use case patterns. Responsibilities include configuring pre-packaged cloud integration in SAP CPI using Web UI and Eclipse UI, designing and building custom integration flows using SAP CPI including SAP Cloud Connector, and configuring and extending standard iFlows. The role also requires developing software and system support documentation and procedures according to company standards and Sarbanes-Oxley legal requirements, conducting technical research with recommendations for action into IT-related topics, and modifying existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces and improve performance. The developer will consult with engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, develop specifications and performance requirements, and resolve problems. Additionally, the role involves preparing software programming and development of documentation, and conferring with data processing and project managers for information on limits and capabilities for data processing projects. The developer will also consult with customers and other departments on project status, proposals, and technical issues. A background check, including drug screening, may be required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Comp Sci or rel field
5 yrs rel exp in SAP ABAP
Skills (5 yrs exp) in: Object management using SPDD and SPAU during hot pack and release upgrades
Skills (5 yrs exp) in: modules in SAP – SD, MM, FI, and PP
Skills (5 yrs exp) in: Groovy for iFlows
Skills (3 yrs exp) in: system integration tests
Skills (3 yrs exp) in: SAP FI/CO

Responsibilities
