About The Position

Rust-Oleum Corporation is seeking a Sr. Application Developer, SAP to work at our Vernon Hills, IL location, with the option to telecommute 2 days per week. This role involves participating in programming project teams for SAP ECC, BW, and CPI systems, supporting the technical aspects of ECC and BW application development and system implementation, and deploying and supporting SAP CPI-based integrations. The position also includes supporting the technical implementation of SAP upgrades and support pack updates, investigating and resolving system and software problems, and designing or writing programming technical specifications based on project requirements. The developer will build integration flows in hybrid environments, configuring pre-packaged and custom integration flows in SAP CPI, and developing software and system support documentation according to company standards and Sarbanes-Oxley legal requirements. Responsibilities also include conducting technical research, modifying existing software, consulting with engineering staff, preparing software programming and documentation, and conferring with data processing and project managers. The role may involve a background check including drug screening.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Comp Sci or rel field
5 yrs rel exp in SAP ABAP
5 yrs exp in Object management using SPDD and SPAU during hot pack and release upgrades
5 yrs exp in modules in SAP – SD, MM, FI, and PP
5 yrs exp in Groovy for iFlows
3 yrs exp in system integration tests
3 yrs exp in SAP FI/CO

Responsibilities

Participates on programming project teams for SAP ECC, BW + CPI systems.
Supports tech end of ECC + BW application dev + sys implementation.
Deploy + support SAP CPI based integrations.
Support technical implementation of SAP upgrades + support pack updates.
Investigates + resolves sys + software (s/w) problems.
Designs or writes prog tech specs based on proj reqs.
Build integration flows in hybrid environments including on-premises + cloud-based apps across all integration styles + use case patterns.
Config pre-packaged cloud integration in SAP CPI using Web UI + Eclipse UI.
Design + build custom integration flows using SAP CPI incl SAP Cloud Connector.
Config + ext of standard iFlows.
Dev s/w + sys support docs + procedures acc to company standards + Sarbane-Oxley legal reqs.
Conducts tech research w/ recs for action into IT rel topics.
Modify existing s/w to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces + imp performance.
Consults w/ engineering staff to eval interface b/w hardware + s/w, develop specs + performance reqs + resolve problems.
Prep s/w programming + dev of documentation.
Confers w/ data processing + proj mgrs for info on limits + capabilities for data processing projs.
Consults w/ customers + other depts on proj status, props + tech issues.
