You are expected to build strong relationships with cross-functional engineering teams, collaborate closely with partners, and deliver high-quality functionality aligned with team goals.

Requirements

• 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of experience in Android app development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin/Java (Android)
• Solid object-oriented skills including design, coding, and testing patterns
• Experience with mobile performance optimization, testing, and integrations
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of security best practices for mobile apps
• Experience with mobile integration, development, and maintenance
• Familiarity with continuous integration (Jenkins), application monitoring (DataDog), mocking tools, build tooling, and unit/functional testing (including Cucumber)

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Ads tech, services, SDKs, or platforms is a plus

Responsibilities

• Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles
• Advises immediate management on project-level issues
• Guides junior engineers
• Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
• Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions
• Contributes to the design and development of complex Android features and systems
• Works independently on technical tasks and collaborates effectively with other engineers on the team
• Delivers solutions that meet customer, operational, and product objectives with a focus on quality and reliability
• Proactively identifies areas for improvement in existing code, structures, and processes
• Balances competing priorities (time, quality, complexity, risk) to deliver optimal solutions
• Identifies patterns and applies reusable, generalized solutions to reduce redundancy
• Collaborates with senior engineers and management to uphold engineering standards and best practices
• Engages with cross-functional teams and partners to deliver dependent functionality
