About The Position

EDF’s Energy Transition Program aims to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel production and use by 2030 in a clean and equitable way. The Sr. Analyst will join the Clean Electricity team, with a primary focus on the western U.S., and support efforts to accelerate the clean energy transition. This includes supporting engagement in Colorado and elsewhere in the West to build support for broader participation in the emerging western regional electricity market, accelerate electric-grid decarbonization while lowering consumer costs, and secure implementing regulations for California’s reauthorized Cap & Invest program. The analyst will own defined research and policy-analysis workstreams across clean-energy and climate-policy topics, develop initial conclusions and recommendations to inform EDF’s advocacy strategy, and help manage engagement with partners, consultants, state policymakers, regulators, and other external stakeholders. The role reports to the Manager, Clean Electricity & Carbon Markets, and collaborates with EDF analysts, scientists, economists, lawyers, and policy specialists, as well as external partners, stakeholders, and lawmakers. The position may be based in a hybrid arrangement at EDF’s Boulder, Colorado; San Francisco, California; or Austin, Texas offices, or remotely in those areas or the Western U.S. It is a two-year fixed-term position with full benefits and the possibility of extension.
