About The Position

The Sr Analyst-Product Compliance is responsible for executing key activities that support Lowe's product compliance programs, helping to protect customers, the business, and the brand from regulatory and safety risks. This role focuses on monitoring and interpreting state and federal regulations, ensuring timely awareness and proactive compliance across Lowe's product categories. The Sr Analyst partners closely with cross-functional teams—including Merchandising, Sourcing, Quality Assurance, Legal, and Sustainability—as well as vendors, testing laboratories, regulatory bodies, and industry associations. By providing detailed analysis, reporting, and operational support, this role plays a critical part in advancing Lowe's compliance strategy and ensuring products meet or exceed regulatory and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
  • 3 Years experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, quality, or related field in a retail or manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years experience in product regulations in North America (CPSC, EPA, FDA, etc.) including state level regulations
  • 2 years experience leading/facilitating cross-functional projects

Responsibilities

  • Execute processes that mitigate product compliance risks to Lowe’s and its customers, ensuring activities are completed on time and in adherence to company standards.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of compliance-related reports to meet state and federal obligations.
  • Administer vendor-related compliance programs, including Conflict Minerals, Wood Sourcing certifications, and Mercury Surveys.
  • Partner with Legal to monitor and interpret emerging state and federal regulations, assess business impacts, and implement appropriate compliance controls.
  • Communicate key regulatory updates and new obligations to stakeholders across the organization.
  • Execute regulatory stop-sales for in-scope items and provide guidance to Merchandising and Legal on process requirements and risk implications.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance Engineering and approved third-party labs to ensure testing protocols address regulatory requirements.
  • Develop solutions for upcoming regulations where existing protocols or programs are insufficient.
  • Partner with Legal, Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Sourcing, and vendors to complete compliance activities and resolve issues.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies on notices of violation (e.g., weights & measures, product registration), coordinate with vendors to collect fines, and support corrective actions.
  • Benchmark compliance practices through continuous learning and participation in industry associations such as ICPHSO and RILA.
  • Document policies and procedures that support product compliance programs and ensure consistent execution.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders to promote best practices and build a culture of compliance.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to develop, test, and launch systems that improve compliance processes.
