About The Position

The Senior Analyst Pricing, Deal Desk and Business Insights is responsible for liaising and partnering with local Marketing, Sales and Contracts business partners to build pricing scenarios, perform profitability analysis, and develop proposals for Tenders (RFPs). This role drives value and capabilities for customer proposals beyond price, analyzes and provides decision support on investment opportunities to drive regional growth, and analyzes historical and forecasted sales by customer to draw business insights for accelerating growth. In partnership with sales and marketing, the role also analyzes and provides decision support on customer investments, customer segmentation, solution strategies, and capabilities. The Senior Analyst is the subject matter expert on pricing analytics that inform pricing optimization strategies driven by the marketing organization, while managing product life cycle items like NPI or end of life and through proactive RFP analytics. Additionally, the role develops new reporting capabilities, meaningful analytics, and actionable insights for the DS Commercial organization.

Requirements

  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Sales or a related field or combination of relevant education and experience
  • 2-4 years’ experience in go-to-market or compensation strategy development and/or pricing expertise.
  • High aptitude to work across different functions in order to lead tender (RFP) strategies and pricing insights.
  • Highly solutions oriented and high degree of curiosity/critical thinking skills to interpret data and resolve issues.
  • Proficiency in Excel, CXM
  • Strong communication and organization skills as well as collaboration abilities
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the deal desk, providing analytics, insights and guidance for Tenders (RFPs)
  • Responsible for extensive collaboration with marketing to understand revenue pipeline timelines requirements and develop meaningful pricing insights in preparation for these critical milestones.
  • Identify pricing opportunities through collaboration with the business and data manager to provide meaningful reporting and insights while incorporating an understanding of global solutions and how to leverage them locally.
  • Collaboration with Finance to drive insights in mix opportunities to be used by the marketers into pricing optimization strategies across Canada.
  • Ad Hoc projects related to data, reporting and systems
  • Identifies and provide training for different aspects of pricing within the organization.
