Sr. Analyst, Lease Administration

The Sr. Analyst, Lease Administration will report to the Manager, Risk Management and will be responsible for maintaining Recipe’s portfolio, including ownership of lease management software, reconciliation of landlord accounts, and management reporting. Requirements
- Post-secondary education in accounting, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years in Lease Administration including lease software management
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite
- Understanding of Canadian commercial real estate market; lease language and interpretation of lease documents; and accounting principles
- Strong written and verbal skills
Responsibilities
- Reconcile complex statements of account, including the audit of CAM and Tax reconciliations, identification and resolution of irregularities in billing
- Review Leases for all locations to ensure compliance with the Leases in the calculations of CAM costs and responsibilities
- Identify locations with potential risk to Recipe, including with Landlords; Franchise AR collections; arrears exposure, etc.
- Written and verbal communication with Landlords to gather documentation and resolve issues
- Calculate and report percentage and incremental rents in compliance with the Leases, including liaising with the accounting team for identification of accruals
- Adopt Recipe financial principles as they relate to accounting; tax; and accounts receivable, when processing payments
- Review and update terms, vendors, and contacts in line with the circulation of new contracts
- Abstract and maintain key lease clauses, critical dates, and other relevant lease data within lease management software
