About The Position

The Sr. Analyst, Insights and Analytics will take a lead consultative role with internal HR clients to identify strategic information needs, conduct data and process analyses, provide actionable recommendations, and manage and execute analytical projects that support the organization's strategic objectives. This role aims to build a foundation of analytical capabilities throughout the HR organization by coordinating the design, development, and implementation of analytical tools, technology, and business solutions. The analyst will also be responsible for designing and developing dashboards, reports, presentations, and visual aids to inform and influence HR clients and business leaders, and for educating stakeholders on the use of analytical tools and the strategic value of HR information assets.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.
  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to assimilate extensive data and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Quantitative reasoning skills, including the ability to work with numbers and to summarize data into graphical or tabular forms.
  • Project management experience, consulting and facilitation skills.
  • Solid communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop effective business relationships and build consensus.
  • Strong presentation skills. The ability to present, explain and discuss results of analyses to effectively drive fact-based decision making within all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of HR and Payroll processes and supporting systems.
  • Sound business judgment.
  • The ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues, and effectively manage risks.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong experience with the statistical analysis and modeling of business data, preferably in areas of HR, Payroll, Benefits and Finance within a retail or large service based organization.
  • Six Sigma training and certification.
  • Practical experience with applying Six Sigma techniques in formal business projects.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as SAS, Minitab, JMP.
  • Experience with designing business reports, dashboards and graphical presentations conveying analytical concepts.
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint using advanced level spreadsheet analytics for developing presentation.
  • Experience working Microsoft Access or similar relational databases.
  • SQL skills beneficial.
  • Experience with business data modeling, data warehousing and data mining techniques.
  • Familiarity or experience with MicroStrategy or other BI tools a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analyses of HR, Payroll, and related business data and processes to identify trends, determine root causes of problems, and propose solutions for effective business decisions.
  • Build analytical capabilities within the HR organization.
  • Coordinate the design, development, and implementation of analytical tools, technology, and business solutions.
  • Gather functional requirements, maintain documentation, and develop project plans and status reports for Analytics projects.
  • Design and develop dashboards, reports, presentations, and visual aids for HR clients and business leaders.
  • Educate business leaders and internal HR clients on the availability and use of analytical tools and techniques.
  • Lead projects requiring the support of a project work team, potentially selecting team members, providing training, and evaluating performance.
