About The Position

Restaurant Brands International Inc. (RBI) is a leading global quick service restaurant company with significant annual sales and a vast network of restaurants worldwide. RBI owns iconic brands such as TIM HORTONS®, BURGER KING®, POPEYES®, and FIREHOUSE SUBS®. The Sr. Analyst, Franchise Profitability role is crucial for facilitating accurate reporting and analysis of franchisee restaurant profitability. This position involves close collaboration with various departments including Marketing, Operations, Development, Franchising, Construction, and Field Support to provide insights into profitability trends, identify outliers, and work with franchisees on action plans to enhance profitability. The role reports to the Director, Profitability and is vital for providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. RBI emphasizes a collaborative, in-office work environment, requiring candidates to be comfortable working onsite five days a week.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a STEM-related field.
  • 3-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment, demonstrating self-motivation and a proactive approach.
  • Strong time-management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with SQL.
  • Experience in tools such as Hyperion and Tableau is strongly preferred.
  • A desire to learn and be challenged.

Responsibilities

  • Support data validation and follow-up processes to improve reporting accuracy and consistency.
  • Communicate with franchisee finance teams regarding data submissions, financial health indicators, and identified outliers.
  • Track monthly and quarterly profitability reports submitted by franchisees, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Analyze restaurant profitability data, providing insights to Profitability & Finance teams, and Field Team General Managers on trends and priority areas across franchisees, regions, and restaurant types.
  • Support regular ad-hoc analyses to identify opportunities for profitability improvement.
  • Identify key drivers of restaurant-level profitability performance, including outliers and emerging trends.
  • Create and present profitability reports to senior leadership and field teams, summarizing trends by franchisee, region, division, and restaurant type.
  • Assist with preparing materials for internal and external stakeholders to support decision-making.
  • Translate analysis into clear, concise takeaways and recommendations for both finance and non-finance audiences.
