About The Position

The Sr. Analyst, Clearance Operations provides subject matter expertise, project management, and analytical support for the development and execution of clearance strategies. The role analyzes data, builds presentations, and applies insights, analytics, and judgment to evaluate clearance performance and answer business questions. The analyst partners directly with Merchants to understand business strategy needs and translate them into effective SKU exits through clearance. The role also leads clearance-related projects and supports other Merchandising Operations initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.

The position reports to a Manager and has no direct reports. It typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. The work is primarily performed sitting in a comfortable indoor area, with frequent opportunities to move about and only rare need to move or lift light articles.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• At least 2 years of work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and independently.
• Business acumen.
• Ability to analyze, evaluate, and interpret complex data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and other statistical software or pricing packages such as SAS, Minitab, or DemandTec.
• Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with business partners.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with Merchandising core concepts and systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to turn data into clear recommendations; GCP/BigQuery proficiency preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and building models from large datasets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build presentations for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and measure pricing actions to assess trade-offs among units, sales, and gross margin, and use findings to help merchants meet financial objectives.
• Conduct research to become a subject matter expert in a segment of pricing and statistical analysis.
• Work across the organization and with cross-functional teams to provide expert analytical support, including support related to domestic logistics or global supply chain costs.
• Develop and deliver influential presentations that summarize complex analyses and support effective business decisions.
• Provide analytical and project-management support for clearance strategy development and execution.
• Partner with Merchants to understand business strategy needs and translate them into effective SKU exits through clearance.
• Lead clearance-related projects and support other Merchandising Operations initiatives with cross-functional teams.
