About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining knowledge of current and emerging developments/trends in application development, assessing their impact, and collaborating with senior management to incorporate new trends into current and future solutions. The analyst will direct and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives. They will identify and direct process improvements to enhance quality across the team, department, and business unit. This position provides subject matter expertise to team members and stakeholders on complex assignments and projects, and offers direction on building and enhancing capabilities within their area of responsibility. The analyst will engage with internal stakeholders early in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) to gather complex business requirements and contribute to Business Requirements Documents. They will determine the scope and depth of testing activities, including developing complex test cases, automation scripts, and test schedules. The role involves delivering and executing complex testing across multiple environments, applying business knowledge to ensure quality throughout the SDLC, and leading the design and implementation of test scenarios and scripts. The analyst will act as the final verification of business functionality and system performance, build complex automated regression test scripts, and provide technical subject matter expertise on software testing issues. They will also provide status reports and metrics, determine best practices and innovative approaches to improve quality processes, and provide training and coaching to junior team members and business resources for user acceptance testing.

Requirements

  • Must have experience with FAST Policy Administration System (Required)
  • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) (Minimum Required)
  • 5 – 7+ Years of experience in software testing or other applicable Information Technology experience that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with senior management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
  • Directs and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Identifies and directs the implementation of process improvements that significantly improve quality across the team, department and/or business unit for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides subject matter expertise to team members and applicable internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments/projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Provides direction on complex assignments, projects, and/or initiatives to build and enhance the capability of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Effectively engages with internal stakeholders at the beginning of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and gathers complex business requirements. Contributes to Business Requirements Documents prior to sign-off.
  • Determines range and depth of testing activities required including developing complex test cases, automation scripts, and test schedules required for testing of software for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
  • Delivers and executes complex testing across multiple test environments per project life cycle. Applies business knowledge to ensure quality is built into each step of the SDLC.
  • Leads the design and implementation of test scenarios and test scripts and guides error documentation standards.
  • Adapts test scenarios and scripts as necessary to achieve project results.
  • Acts as a final verification of the required business functionality and proper functioning of the system(s).
  • Builds complex automated test scripts for regression testing.
  • Provides technical subject matter expertise to project teams and internal stakeholders (e.g. application developers, application support, testers) on a broad variety of software testing issues.
  • Provides status reports and metrics on assigned projects.
  • Determines complex best practices and innovative approaches and suggests how to improve current quality processes, standards and practices.
  • Provides training and test data for business resources involved with user acceptance testing.
  • Provides expertise and training and coaching to junior team members.
  • Leads, directs and/or participates in projects for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
