About The Position

This role ensures proper accounting for all the service parts and accessories inventory and all related liabilities for Nissan North America (NNA). The responsibilities listed are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties for this role. Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed, to support business objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a professional accounting/finance role.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP and basic knowledge of International Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Self‑starter who can adapt in a rapidly changing environment and is committed to continuous improvement of business and accounting processes.
  • Highly analytical with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify issues and take corrective action.
  • Proven ability to develop and foster strategic relationships.
  • Collaborative partner who works effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site in Franklin, TN.

Nice To Haves

  • MBA and/or CPA preferred.
  • Prior large manufacturing or public account experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of complex journal entries and management of all month-end closing duties.
  • Analyzes complex general ledger accounts, prepares account reconciliations, research open items and account discrepancies, coordinates resolution of difficult issues with management and other department representatives.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Works directly with external auditors on a quarterly basis, at a minimum.
  • Prepares audit support and ad hoc analysis for Finance / management.
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Represents the group on projects and initiatives.
  • Participates in the scoping, planning, and design of new business processes with operations and Finance as the subject matter expert.
