About The Position

The Senior AI Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions that enhance how Rheem builds and operates digital products. This role will partner closely with engineering, DevOps, QA, and product teams to implement practical AI solutions that deliver measurable business value. This position will serve Rheem North America, located in Roswell, GA (Hybrid) and Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid). This role follows our hybrid work arrangement, with team members working in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, solution architecture, or related technical disciplines.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing AI, Generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, or AI-powered software solutions.
  • Proven track record leading the adoption of new technologies and driving transformational initiatives across multiple teams or business functions.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development practices, cloud-native architectures, APIs, microservices, DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience building and deploying solutions using platforms such as Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, AWS Bedrock, Databricks, or similar AI technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and AI governance principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical direction across engineering, product management, quality assurance, operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience establishing standards, best practices, architectural patterns, and governance frameworks for emerging technologies.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for both technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience mentoring engineers, driving technical excellence, and fostering technology adoption across an organization.
  • Passion for innovation and applying AI to improve engineering productivity, software quality, customer experiences, and business performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with connected products, IoT platforms, smart home ecosystems, digital customer experiences, or SaaS platforms is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support AI-enabled software solutions and automation capabilities.
  • Build and maintain integrations with generative AI platforms, large language models, copilots, and AI services.
  • Develop internal AI tools, agents, and workflows that improve engineering productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with product managers, architects, and engineering teams to identify opportunities where AI can accelerate delivery and improve outcomes.
  • Implement AI capabilities within software development, testing, documentation, and support processes.
  • Develop APIs, services, and cloud-based applications that leverage AI technologies.
  • Evaluate model performance, prompt effectiveness, accuracy, and reliability while continuously improving solution quality.
  • Follow established AI governance, security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
  • Monitor emerging AI trends and contribute ideas for new use cases and future capabilities.
  • Collaborate with teammates to document solutions, share knowledge, and advance organizational AI maturity.
