About The Position

Ingredion is hiring a Senior Agribusiness Sales Representative responsible for managing Agri-product sales for the company’s largest plant. The candidate will manage over $50 Million of Corn Protein Feed sales with a focus on pricing discipline, freight optimization, customer relationship management and developing new sales and market opportunities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proven track record in Sales and Management roles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • University degree in Business, Agriculture or the equivalent
  • Have a passion for commodity markets and sales
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong customer focus
  • Strong time and people management skills
  • An owner’s mindset who is always looking for new opportunities and improvement

Nice To Haves

  • Agricultural Background and merchandising experience is a plus
  • SAP experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage all of the Argo plant’s Corn Protein Feed and Oil by product sales
  • Use market knowledge to develop short and long-term strategies. Market analysis would include supply & demand forecasts, alternative feed stuff and competitor analysis
  • Balance supply & demand, optimizing the ratio of spot vs. contract sales, pricing negotiations, maximizing netbacks, distribution of weekly price lists, tracking claims, communicating trends for improvement opportunities, prospecting to find new customer opportunities and establishing sound customers relationships.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with Order Coordinators, Customer Service, Manufacturing Teams, Peers, Management and Stakeholders within other departments for cohesive teamwork and execution of tasks.
  • Support management on developing process improvements that lead to efficiencies, increased quality and cost savings
  • Support financial forecasting and participate in review of Net Corn business
  • Support Corn germ logistics and other plant functions on an as needed basis
  • Ad hoc travel to meet customers and attend trade shows to stay current on industry trends
