About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Relations, the Senior HR Advisor provides strategic and operational HR support to Nutrien's Proprietary Products facilities located across Nebraska, Arkansas, Mississippi, Greeley, Colorado, and California. This role partners with leaders across multiple sites to deliver people solutions that support business objectives, enhance employee experience, develop talent, and navigate organizational change. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while balancing strategic consultation with hands-on HR support.

Requirements

Degree in human resources or related field is required
Minimum of 6 years HR generalist work experience with proven career growth path
Experience with HRIS systems and advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Ability to travel approximately 25-30% within a multi-state territory that includes Nebraska, Arkansas, Mississippi, Greeley Colorado, and California
Ability to coach and guide Site Leadership
Ability to develop, implement and manage change effectively
Awareness of manufacturing industry practices and cycles
Experience in a fast-paced growth environment, providing strategic direction from a human resources standpoint
Possess a strong ability to develop collaborative relationships across multiple functions
Ability to balance the requirements of functional HR and the site needs
Knowledge of United States employment legislation and regulations
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact both strategic and tactical human resource initiatives
Strong, clear, and concise verbal and written communications skills with all levels of employees within the organization
Interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with and influence individuals in different disciplines and at different levels

Experience with various change management methodologies to support client groups through transformational change initiatives

Responsibilities

Act as the lead Human Resources position for the Proprietary Products sites
Provide HR guidance to the Proprietary Products Leadership Team and contribute to the people perspective supporting the successful execution of the business strategy
Serve as an unbiased consultant to the business to mitigate risk to the company by ensuring fair treatment and a balanced approach for those impacted by the implementation of new policy, procedures and/or organizational change, problem resolution and human capital decisions
Oversee and assist in the implementation of company and business unit HR strategies, programs and processes (e.g. on-going salary administration and annual compensation cycle, benefit programs, performance management, talent retention and attraction)
Provide support and training to managers in the interpretation and use of HR policies, processes, and programs
Administer the disability management process while partnering with the business leaders and our third-party administrator
Analyze results of exit interviews, recruitment feedback and employee surveys to identify people issues and trends and participate in their resolution
Support the identification of client learning and development needs by partnering with the business and the appropriate COE in the development of plans/programs and implementation within the client groups
Provide guidance and coaching to leaders in managing sensitive, complex, and legal employee relations matters
Consult on business effectiveness projects i.e. structural re-organizations, business process improvements, etc.
Work with leaders to anticipate future human capital requirements based on business, industry and market conditions
Utilizing change management philosophy, work with client group leaders to design future state changes (people, process, and structure), prepare change plans, and engage with leaders to implement
Onboarding new employees and fostering a positive ongoing workplace experience for employees at Proprietary Products sites.
Work with the Centers of Excellence, HR Operations, Total Rewards, Internal Legal Counsel, Learning and Development, Talent Attraction & Sourcing,) to ensure the completeness and accuracy of employment documentation to support the effective delivery of HR services and to implement on HR strategies, programs and processes
Support and lead various HR projects as needed
Complete HR transactional tasks including employee letters, requisitions, communication/notices, and general transactions
Support emergency incident management from the people perspective as required
