About The Position

Indiana University Health is seeking a visionary, data-driven, and mission-focused health strategist to lead IU Health's "Healthiest Workforce" initiative. This is a brand-new individual contributor role that operates cross-functionally, requiring deep partnership with medical directors, EOHS, population health, and healthy results teams. The role drives the enterprise health and wellness strategy across IU Health, including owning and advancing the "Healthiest Workforce" strategy as IU Health's primary subject matter expert and champion. It also involves overseeing the strategy, governance, implementation, and enterprise alignment of employee health initiatives, aligning and integrating cross-functional priorities, managing a portfolio of interrelated health initiatives, defining KPIs and leveraging data to evaluate performance, leading executive-level communications, building external employer-facing opportunities, and ensuring successful operational transition of programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in health administration, public health, or a related field is required.
• Requires 7-10 years of experience in a clinical or operational management role, or experience in quality improvement.
• Requires proven experience in healthcare such as public health, population health, care management, or health plans.
• Requires social determinants of health (SDOH) awareness.
• Requires knowledge of health regulations and compliance expectations such as HIPAA and ERISA.
• Requires proficiency in data analytics tools, clinical knowledge, strong communication, project management, and change management.

Responsibilities

• Owning and advancing the "Healthiest Workforce" strategy as IU Health's primary subject matter expert and champion
• Overseeing the strategy, governance, implementation, and enterprise alignment of employee health initiatives including Healthiest Workforce, Project Prevention, Healthy Results, and EOHS
• Aligning and integrating cross-functional priorities across clinical, operational, and administrative teams
• Managing a portfolio of interrelated health initiatives, including interdependencies, sequencing, and risk mitigation
• Defining KPIs and leveraging data to evaluate performance, identify trends, and drive action
• Leading executive-level communications and presenting to senior leadership and steering committees
• Building external employer-facing opportunities and positioning IU Health as a leader in workforce health
• Ensuring successful operational transition of programs into clinical, pop health, and ambulatory quality teams
