About The Position

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. This role involves building, debugging, refining, and maintaining steady state and transient thermal models using NPSS. The engineer will develop NPSS customer models for gas turbine engine performance, perform requirements analysis and decomposition, and provide test coverage and data reduction to support engine development and qualification. The position also includes connecting NPSS models to MBSE tools like Cameo, applying gas turbine engine thermodynamics and physics, performing thermodynamic modeling and analysis, and working within a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment. Additionally, the role involves transferring NPSS modeling techniques through mentoring and knowledge transfer, and supporting engine definition through all phases of the New Product Introduction (NPI) processes.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as sciences, technology, engineering.
  • 4 years of experience with turbine engine Performance and Operability Modeling and Analysis.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Skilled and experienced with building, debugging, and refining NPSS engine cycle models.
  • Experience connecting NPSS models to MBSE tools such as Cameo.
  • Experience with steady state and transient thermodynamic cycles.
  • Experience with requirements analysis and requirements decomposition.
  • Experience with test coverage and data reduction for engine development and qualification.
  • Productive mentoring skills for NPSS modeling knowledge transfer.
