About The Position

As a Sr Advanced Systems Engineer here at Honeywell Aerospace, you will play a critical role in creating advanced systems within our TCAS (Traffic Alert and Collision Avoidance System) and Transponder Product Team to meet the long-term evolving needs of the Aviation industry. Your systems engineering expertise will not only impact on the successful delivery of cutting-edge Avionics solutions but also contribute to the broader mission of enhancing global aviation travel, navigation and safety. In this role, you will impact the development and delivery of cutting-edge software solutions that support Honeywell’s aerospace initiatives, helping to drive innovation and maintain our leadership in the industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • 9+ years of Systems Engineering experience.
  • U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
  • Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies effectively.
  • Experience in similar product domains is of value i.e. Avionics, Navigation and/or Airborne Surveillance (TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, UAT).
  • Master's Degree or advanced professional certification.
  • Competence to convey subtle or complex messages clearly, as appropriate for the topic and audience.
  • Experience with RF products.
  • Experience with the FAA certification process is a plus.
  • Individuals that quickly analyze, incorporate and apply new information and concepts.
  • Multi-tasking and ability to adapt dictated by project changes.
