About The Position

This individual will work within a Guidance Systems team performing analysis, design, implementation, and test activities as part of a strategic system development effort for the Navy. Additional tasks include support of on-going Internal Research & Development (IRAD) activities in the area of inertial guidance. These tasks are related to activities in our Advanced Guidance Lab (AGL) and include guidance concepts, technologies, Position Navigation & Timing (PNT) tools and lab infrastructure. The selected candidate should also have good oral and written communications skills, and perform work assignments under minimal supervision, and support frequent communications within and across Integrated Product Teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree, plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must demonstrate a scientific background, experience with Guidance Navigation & Controls, inertial sensors, MATLAB, engineering systems and the ability to further advance GDMS technology.
  • Must have Systems Engineering experience with requirements analysis, system design, and test.
  • Must have experience/familiarity with the Navy's legacy Guidance Systems.
  • Must have Cybersecurity experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Operations of basic laboratory environments and equipment.

  • Simulation and modelling experience
  • Experience with embedded programming (C, C++, Python, JavaScript) and microcontrollers
  • Experience with DOORs and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
