Advanced Systems Engineer

As a systems engineer for the Coastal family, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the execution of a predetermined and highly complex schedule with some of the best engineering minds around. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field
- 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience
- Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
- Clear understanding of requirements management and system modeling tools
- Creative thinker with ability to grasp and apply new information quickly and handle increasing responsibilities with growing complexity
- Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
- Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others
- Proficient knowledge of engineering (i.e., software, electrical, systems, etc.) methodologies, tools, and standards
Nice To Haves
- Agile experience preferred
- Willingness to learn new technology and share that gained knowledge with others
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, etc)
- Familiarity with Earned Value (EV) metrics
Responsibilities
- Compile and monitor monthly production schedules
- Understand complex material structures in the material planning tool
- Identify process flow improvements and implement
- Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
- Work proactively with a project team and interact with project leaders and other professionals within Engineering and Operations departments
- Work between engineering and manufacturing organizations on a daily basis
