Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 4 years job related experience.
  • Strong computer and typing skills (40 wpm).
  • Strong verbal skills and the ability to interact effectively with other employees and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as notary public
  • Processes open records requests
  • Assists department with coordination of Commissioners Court agenda items and associated paperwork
  • Assists with processing bi-weekly payroll
  • Requisitions supplies through County purchasing system and maintains department inventory.
  • Serves as department procurement card coordinator; researches and schedules department travel arrangements and trainings
  • Creates and maintains reports and spreadsheets for budgetary items; Assists with preparation and monitoring of departmental budget
  • Submits request to I.T. Department and Facilities Department when problems arise for all divisions
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
