Under the direction of program leadership, the adolescent senior alcoholism counselor utilizes evidenced-based models to provide group and individual therapy for adolescents in need of short-term intensive substance misuse treatment and psychiatric services. Tasks also include conducting comprehensive intake evaluations, family psychoeducation and counseling, person and family centered treatment planning, risk assessment, safety planning and crisis intervention. Therapist is expected to participate in active outreach and engagement, collaborate with program psychiatrists, coordination of care with other service providers, and complete required hospital and OASAS documentation in a timely manner. Experience with adolescents doing individual, group, and family work in an outpatient behavioral health setting is required. This is a full-time position with minimal evening hours required.
