About The Position

Responsible for supporting Actuarial Management. The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned. Senior Actuarial Analysts participate in the Actuarial Rotation program which provides the opportunity to rotate to a different team approximately every 3 years. Rotations can be internal (core Actuarial, such as Commercial/Medicare pricing and reserves) or external (non-Actuarial teams with Actuarial-related work, such as Segment, Value-Based Provider Analytics, Financial Performance and Analysis, Pharmacy Analytics, etc.).

Requirements

  • 2+ years related work experience to include successful, progressive professional work experience
  • Math/Statistics or related Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 3 or more completed examinations from the Society of Actuaries (SOA)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of management

Nice To Haves

  • Background in health field or insurance field
  • Proficiency in Excel, SAS, and SQL

Responsibilities

  • Support and analyze pricing, trend analytics, gross margin reporting, and financial reporting related to ACA, Medicare, Group, Reserves, Segment, and other teams
  • Actuarial representation on cross-functional workgroups as an active participant
  • Segmentation support
