About The Position

DRS RADA Technologies is hiring a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join its team at the Germantown, MD location. This position is on-site and full time. The core duties for this role will include processing invoices, matching purchase orders, reconciling statements, and resolving payment discrepancies.

Requirements

Associate’s degree or equivalent training with 4+ years of directly related experience.
Proficiency in accounting software (Costpoint preferred) and intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
High attention to detail, strong time-management, and excellent communication skills for inter-departmental and vendor interaction.

Responsibilities

Review, code, and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring proper authorization.
Verify that the vendor invoice, purchase order, and receiving document all match before processing payment.
Schedule and execute payments via checks, ACH, or wire transfers.
Maintain vendor files, handle payment inquiries, and ensure all tax documents (such as W-9s) are up to date.
Reconcile monthly vendor statements and support the month-end close by preparing payable reports and accruals.
Verify documentation, review policy compliance, approve or return for correction, reconcile and prepare report to migrate to accounting system for expense reports.
Verify each transaction and fee, review for errors or fraudulent charges, retrieve receipts from various sources, maintain correct daily balance for credit card reconciliation.
Support finance projects and administrative support as needed.
