About The Position

The Sr. Accounting coordinator will deliver comprehensive accounting support within Accounting Operations, supporting primarily Accounting Receipts but also supporting the Accounts Payable team as needed. This role will utilize multiple accounting systems to provide cross-functional support across the company for incoming and outgoing payments. This includes but is not limited to the Dental/Vision/Life/Annuity/Disability lines of business, tax, treasury, variable processing and investment accounting.

Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years related experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in accounting or business administration is preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel proficiency is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end processing of incoming and outgoing payments with accuracy and timeliness
  • Reconcile suspense accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Support internal and external audit processes by gathering, organizing, and maintaining required documentation
  • Execute high-volume, detail-intensive tasks with consistency and precision
  • Drive performance and accountability across assigned units and operational functions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support broader Accounting Operations, contribute to assigned projects, and fulfill additional duties as needed
  • Operate independently within established procedures, with the ability to help coordinate workflows across the team
  • Identify and resolve complex, precedent-setting problems, serving as a key resource when challenging issues arise
