Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Handle company’s bank accounts and monthly reconciliation processes, including, but not limited to bookkeeping; processing void and stop payment requests; and following up on outstanding account balances.
  • Handle daily bank processes, including, but not limited to handling incoming funds, ACH payments, wire transfers, positive pay, and preparing cash posting advice entries.
  • Handle general ledger functions, including, but not limited to preparing subledgers; preparing journal voucher entries; and assisting with closing of financial period.
  • Handle company’s income reconciliation processes, including, but not limited to reconciling income from claims system to accounting system; researching out-of-balance amounts; and preparing income reconciliation reports.
  • Handle regulatory reporting processes, including processing payments, account reconciliations, filing, etc.
  • Handle OFAC review processes, including but not limited to reviewing daily OFAC results; coordinating with claims department; management and/or CCO in case of possible OFAC match.
  • Assist with Accounting audits, including, but not limited to collecting documents for auditors; uploading documents to a shared website; and preparing audit reports and analysis.
  • Assist with completing business plans and other special projects.
  • Provide management support, including, but not limited to improving work processes; and cross-training staff members.
  • Document and update procedures in the manual.
  • Maintain compliance with general account practices.
  • Responsible for complying with proper internal controls as necessary to conduct job functions and/or carry out responsibilities and/or administrative activities at the company.
