About The Position
The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for supporting the corporate accounting function with a primary focus on balance sheet integrity, complex reconciliations, and accrual accounting. This role will own and execute key month-end close activities, including reconciliations for non-sublease customer receivables, corporate credit card liabilities, commissions, and various non-subledger accruals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing high-volume reconciliations and accrual-based accounting processes in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance and/or business administration from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2-3 years of progressive work experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong customer service focus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate accounting and financial information to others.
- Strong Excel (advanced level - ability to manage, combine and analyze large data sets, to efficiently support accounting operations), Word, Outlook and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and detail oriented.
Nice To Haves
- CPA preferred.
- SAP and Hyperion experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review reconciliations for receivable balances ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Record and monitor monthly accruals related to corporate card activity.
- Maintain accruals and payment request for commissions in compliance with company policies.
- Prepare and post monthly journal entries related to accrued expenses.
- Collaborate and work closely with the lines of business on accounting items and variance drivers.
- Support process improvement projects between accounting and shared services.
- Manage the relationship with field operations accounting teams, cross-functional teams, and subsidiaries.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization and with cross-functional and international teams.
