About The Position

Duties Assists in the preparation of the consolidated internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system and from departments. Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information. Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts. Working with external auditors Assist in annual budget process Training staff on new software and streamlining processes Track and record daily cash deposit logs Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Provides accounting support for mergers and acquisitions Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Accomplishes accounting and organization objectives by completing related duties as needed. Qualifications CPA Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred but not required. 3-5 years of accounting experience in healthcare preferred but not required. Skills and areas of interest should include: Accounting, SFAS Rules, Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, PC Proficiency, Productivity, Verbal Communication

Requirements

  • CPA
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in healthcare preferred but not required.
  • Skills and areas of interest should include: Accounting, SFAS Rules, Reporting Skills, Deadline-Oriented, Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality, PC Proficiency, Productivity, Verbal Communication
