About The Position

The Senior Analyst, Finance is responsible for daily accounting tasks, including updating expense files, performing financial transactions, posting transactions in the general ledger, and carrying out administrative duties such as responding to clients by email and handling invoices. The role reports to the Accounting Manager and supports improvements to financial processes. It requires discretion and confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant major.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Comfort with a fast-paced environment and flexibility to adapt to daily changes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Willingness to undergo a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Three years of accounting or finance experience.
• Experience with financial/accounting software, specifically QuickBooks and/or Sage Intacct.
• Public accounting experience.
• General knowledge of financial analytics and dashboards.
• CPA designation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update accounting records and files.
• Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger, including by assets, liabilities, and expenses.
• Reconcile bank statements.
• Conduct month-end and year-end closures.
• Prepare documents for audits.
• Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Report to the Accounting Manager and work to improve financial processes.
• Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Analyze budgets and create expense reports.
• Examine tax policies and handle tax payments and returns.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
