Requirements

• Strong Accounting Operations Expertise: Confidently handle day-to-day accounting functions and ensure accuracy in financial records.
• Comfortable Supporting Multiple Business Operations: Understanding the nuances of accounting in transportation and distribution, including specific revenue recognition and cost tracking challenges.
• Ability to Work Independently in a Senior Role: Take ownership of accounting processes with minimal oversight and drive improvements proactively.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close: Drive the month-end close process to ensure timely, accurate financials, including journal entries, reconciliations, and detailed account analysis.
• Maintain general ledger integrity: Oversee GL reconciliations and swiftly resolve discrepancies to keep the books clean and audit-ready.
• Support audit and compliance: Prepare comprehensive schedules and documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards.
• Process accounts payable and receivable: Manage invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer billing with precision and efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with operations and finance teams to enhance financial reporting and drive process improvements.
