About The Position

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. Our client is looking for someone who can initially make an impact as a Senior Accountant while demonstrating the leadership, ownership, and business acumen to grow into an Accounting Manager role. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys working in an entrepreneurial environment, takes initiative, and is comfortable looking beyond their individual responsibilities to understand the broader business.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Progressive accounting experience at the Senior Accountant level or equivalent
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
Comfortable operating in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
Demonstrated initiative and desire for continued career advancement

Nice To Haves

Private Equity experience OR public accounting/audit experience
An entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership and initiative
The desire and capability to grow into an Accounting Manager position
Private Equity experience and/or public accounting/audit experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

Support month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
Analyze financial results and investigate variances
Maintain accurate general ledger activity and supporting documentation
Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting
Support audit, tax, and compliance requests
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
Partner with leadership and other areas of the organization on accounting and business initiatives
Take ownership of projects and responsibilities beyond traditional transactional accounting
Develop toward increased leadership and management responsibilities
