About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, thrives in a fast-paced professional services environment, and enjoys improving processes while maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong experience with accrual accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.
  • Experience supporting external audits.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and Power Query.
  • Experience with Bill.com, QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, project accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on process optimization.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation preferred but not required.
  • Professional services, engineering, consulting, or project accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence/reporting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
  • Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Record revenue recognition, prepaid expenses, and other balance sheet activity.
  • Support accounting activities across multiple legal entities.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close.
  • Prepare financial statements, management reports, and supporting schedules.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies.
  • Prepare audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
  • Support internal controls, accounting procedures, and regulatory filings.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency.
  • Document accounting procedures and participate in finance transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Finance Operations to improve automation, reporting, and data accuracy.
  • Partner with Revenue Operations, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and business leaders to support accurate financial reporting and operational excellence.
