Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting
  • 3 or more years of experience in manufacturing accounting, public accounting or audit

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/CMA preferred
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam
  • Interested in pursuing a CPA license

Responsibilities

  • Complete daily and monthly plant statistical production, inventory reports, and cost accounting.
  • Monitor daily production, shipments, and inventory, ensuring accuracy and reconciling monthly balances in SAP.
  • Assist with capital project tracking, fixed asset ledger maintenance, and capital expenditure analysis.
  • Ensure closure of capital projects and retirement of expired assets.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts to sub-systems to minimize errors and losses.
  • Perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger account balances.
  • Prepare and post monthly journal entries in SAP for accurate month-end and year-end transactions.
  • Help prepare the annual operating budget.
  • Provide support to the accounts payable process, investigate issues, and participate in audits.
  • Assist with special projects, report development, quarter-end and year-end activities.
  • Provide backup support for other administrative tasks within the plant.
