About The Position

The Sr. Accountant is a highly skilled, detail‑driven professional responsible for advanced accounting functions across multiple entities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑oriented environment. This role requires deep technical expertise in U.S. GAAP, including ASC 842 – Lease Accounting and ASC 606 – Revenue Recognition. The Sr. Accountant plays a critical role in month‑end close, financial reporting, consolidations, audit support, and process improvement initiatives, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence across the organization.

  • Strong understanding of consolidation processes, intercompany activity, and financial statement presentation.
  • High proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, JD Edwards, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data modeling).
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven, fast‑moving environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close process for multiple entities with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and review complex journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, intercompany transactions, and consolidation entries.
  • Support preparation of internal and external financial statements and analytical reporting packages.
  • Maintain GAAP‑compliant general ledger activity and documentation.
  • Serve as a primary contact during audits, providing detailed support and resolving inquiries.
  • Manage the full compliance lifecycle for ASC 842, including identification, classification, and accounting for leases.
  • Maintain lease schedules, right‑of‑use (ROU) assets, and lease liability roll‑forwards across entities.
  • Review lease agreements to ensure accurate accounting treatment and timely updates for renewals, modifications, or terminations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, FP&A, and Operations to ensure proper documentation and completeness of lease data.
  • Support lease-related disclosures and technical memos for quarterly and annual reporting.
  • Contribute to quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes, with particular focus on lease disclosures under ASC 842.
  • Ensure compliance with ASC 606, including review of contracts, performance obligations, transaction price allocation, and timing of revenue recognition.
  • Develop, maintain, and reconcile revenue schedules across multiple entities and customer groups.
  • Analyze customer agreements, rebates, variable considerations, and contract modifications for proper treatment under ASC 606.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and FP&A to ensure alignment between operational data and accounting requirements.
  • Manage accounting activities across multiple subsidiaries, divisions, or operating units.
  • Perform intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries during consolidation.
  • Analyze entity‑level performance and support management with financial insights and variance analysis.
  • Identify and implement process efficiencies, automation opportunities, and workflow improvements.
  • Strengthen internal control structures to ensure accuracy, prevent errors, and enhance compliance.
  • Support system enhancements, ERP optimization, or implementation of new accounting modules.
  • Partner effectively with AP, AR, Operations, HR, Supply Chain, Sales, and FP&A to support business needs.
  • Provide guidance and technical expertise on complex accounting topics, policy interpretation, and compliance matters.
  • Support ad‑hoc projects and analysis as assigned by leadership
