Requirements

  • A technically strong accountant who understands not just how to prepare financials—but why
  • Experienced in building cash flow statements, not just reviewing them
  • Eager to learn, adaptable, and comfortable working across multiple areas of accounting
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • A collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving setting
  • CPA Certified
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Accounting or Business from four-year college or university; and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to determine proper accounting treatment for transactions based on accounting principles
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize and multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business situations, strategies, theory, processes, budgeting and operations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Advanced Excel skills, to include pivot tables, complex formulas, and links
  • CPA required

Nice To Haves

  • 5-8 years of staff accounting experience preferred
  • Microsoft Dynamics SL or Great Plains software experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare full Statements of Cash Flow, including building them from underlying financial data and supporting schedules
  • Analyze financial activity to accurately classify operating, investing, and financing cash flows
  • Prepare and post journal entries and perform detailed account reconciliations
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
  • Prepare audit schedules and partner with auditors during annual audits
  • Record and analyze revenue, including patient transport activity
  • Prepare accounts receivable reporting and valuation analyses
  • Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records and depreciation schedules
  • Collaborate with and support senior accounting staff across multiple functional areas
  • Gain exposure to diverse accounting processes and financial operations across the organization
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and other duties as assigned
